Cold temperatures to grip Ottawa for the rest of the week

You will want to bundle up as you head out the door today, as cold temperatures continue to grip Ottawa this week.

The temperature was -19 C at 6 a.m., with the wind chill making it feel like -27. Environment Canada’s forecast calls for minus double-digit lows to continue for the rest of the week, before warmer-than-normal temperatures arrive this weekend.

Ottawa will see a mix of sun and cloud today. High -10 C.

Mainly cloudy tonight. Low -16 C, with the wind chill making it feel like -22.

A mix of sun and cloud to start the day on Thursday, before it becomes cloudy with a 70 per cent chance of snow in the afternoon. High -7 C.

There will be a mix of sun and cloud on Friday. High -8 C.

The outlook for Saturday calls for cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries. High -3 C.

Sunday will see mainly cloudy conditions with a 40 per cent chance of flurries. High -4 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of -3 C and a low of -12 C.
