Sudbury police release photos of Cedar Street stabbing suspect

Police in Sudbury are looking for 34-year-old Lindsey Trudeau. He is wanted for attempted murder & other charges in connection with a Cedar Street stabbing.

Police in Greater Sudbury have released photos of the prime suspect in a stabbing case that took place June 14 on Cedar Street.

“We are requesting the public’s assistance to locate 34-year-old, Lindsey Trudeau, who is wanted on an arrest warrant,” Sudbury police said in a news release June 24.

Trudeau is wanted on charges of attempted murder and weapons possession. None of the charges has been proven in court and he is considered innocent until proven otherwise.

Anyone with information regarding Trudeau’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.

The stabbing took place just before 3:25 p.m. on June 14.

“Information provided was that an individual had sustained multiple stab wounds and required immediate medical attention,” police said at the time.

“Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old man who had sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital by Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services.”

The attack took place in the area of Cedar Street at Young Street. Police believe it was “a targeted incident.”
