Killarney Provincial Park to offer more campsites this season

The province says it’s increasing the number of campsites at three parks this summer, including Killarney Provincial Park 90 kilometres south of Sudbury.

In a news release Tuesday, the province said Killarney and Driftwood will each offer 25 new campsites, while MacGregor gets an additional 17.

“The increase in campsites also means 5,000 new camping nights at the three parks,” the province said

“Friends of Killarney Park is thrilled to see the expansion of the park’s campground, as it will allow more visitors to access free programs and events during their stay, as well as even more opportunities to partner with us,” said Jena Ethier, Friends of Killarney Park.

The province says the additional campsites are part of the first phase of a nearly $60 million expenditure
