Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 11-17 is closed in both directions for an investigation.

Officers are dealing with a single-vehicle crash that took place around 10 a.m., OPP told CTV News in an email.

The highway is closed at Raith, located northwest of Thunder Bay.

“The investigation is expected to cause a lengthy highway closure,” the email said.

“We advise anyone expecting to travel through the area to find an alternative route such as Highway 622, Highway 502, Highway 71, and Highway 11.”
