Quebec man wanted on Canada-wide warrant for 2023 murder in central Labrador

The RCMP is looking for a Quebec man wanted for a murder in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Franz Drosch was killed in the central Labrador town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in Aug., 2023. The RCMP is asking for assistance in locating 30-year-old David Faucher from Sherbrooke, Que., who police say is “actively evading police.”

In addition to his hometown of Sherbrooke, police believe Faucher has connections in Trois-Rivieres, Montreal and Mexico.

Faucher is 5′11″, weighs around 190 pounds, and has brown eyes.

He is said to be driving a grey 2026 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with the license plate FTV 8960.

“For your safety, please do not to approach Faucher,” the RCMP said in a news release.

Anyone who spots Faucher is asked to call 911 or the RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador major crimes unit at 709-772-5433.
