Man arrested after woman found dead in Châteauguay

Quebec provincial police (SQ) arrested a man after the body of a 45-year-old woman was found in a home in Châteauguay.

According to the SQ, Chateauguay police discovered the woman’s body around 3 p.m. Wednesday in a home on Jules-Dumouchel Street on Montreal’s South Shore.

The file was then transferred to the SQ, which said it intercepted a vehicle and arrested the 49-year-old suspect.

Investigators will interview him to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
