Truck turns upside down after pulling too far onto the shoulder

Police are warning the public about the risks of pulling too far onto the shoulder during winter weather.

A portion of Perth Line 44 near Mitchell was closed on Monday after a truck ended up upside down in the ditch, a result of pulling too far onto the soft shoulder.

According to police, the truck pulled onto the shoulder, causing the shoulder to sink and the truck to flip.

No injuries were reported and no charges will be laid.

Perth Line 44 was closed between Perth Road 135 and Perth Road 119 but has since reopened.

Police said there will still be some cleanup happening in the area on Tuesday.
