Temperatures to remain milder ahead of weekend surge

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has the latest ahead of some rain, and a weekend warmup.

Although summer has officially arrived, you wouldn’t be alone if you felt that temperatures as of late have felt less than summer-like.

Cooler conditions are expected to hold strong overnight, however clear skies will persist, with winds easing off into the evening, “we’ll drop down to 11 degrees in London, [and in] midwestern Ontario, anywhere between 10 and 13,” predicted CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison.

Clear skies will continue into tomorrow, with some marginal cloud cover moving through by mid-day.

The next low-pressure system is set to move in as we head toward the evening, “that could bring some rainfall late Wednesday night, but we’ll get through the day nice and dry,” assured Atchison.“ [There’s a] chance for rain overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Possibility of some thunderstorms Thursday afternoon.”

Weekend weather looks promising, with a cooler start to your Saturday accompanied by some cloud cover, and temperatures set to surge on Sunday, hitting 31 degrees by Monday.
