SWPH flags measles exposures at Woodstock and St. Thomas hospitals

Southwestern Public Health (SWPH) is reporting new measles exposures in the region.

According to the organization, there are two potential exposure sites in St. Thomas and Woodstock.

These two exposures will make eleven reported in the region since the beginning of February.

If you were present at these locations during the timeframes listed, were born in 1970 or later, and are not up to date with your vaccinations, you are asked to call public health at 1-800-922-0096 ext. 1232.

Those who were only present briefly are also asked to contact public health, since measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air for up to two hours.

St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Emergency Department: Sun. Feb. 16, 5:00 p.m., to 7:26 p.m.
