Snow plow collides with OPP cruiser and civilian vehicle, sends two to hospital

The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating after two people were sent to hospital in a collision involving a police car, snow vehicle and snow plow north of Wingham on Monday afternoon.

According to OPP, the officer was assisting a motorist on London Road near Glennanon Road when a plow collided with the snow vehicle and police vehicle.

Two people were transported to hospital, and the officer was not injured.

The SIU investigates when a civilian is hurt during an interaction with police.

The OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is on scene continuing to investigate.

London Road is closed north of Wingham and will remain closed for several hours - many roads in the area are closed due to poor visibility and conditions.
