London, Ont. cracks down on unauthorized ridesharing

The city of London is cracking down on drivers of unauthorized ridesharing vehicles.

By-law officers recently conducted an enforcement blitz with a focus on drivers accepting cash instead of going through apps like Uber and Lyft.

Four people were fined $1,000 each.

All rides must be booked through apps to ensure safety, officials said.
