London man charged after B&E in city’s west end

A residential break and enter was foiled Wednesday after a resident reported suspicious activity at a neighbour’s house.

Police say they were called to a home on Blackthorne Crescent around 5:15 a.m. after a citizen noticed a man leaving their neighbour’s garage with property from inside.

Police arrived shortly after and searched the area. They were able to recover the stolen property and they located the suspect.

The 34-year-old London man has been charged with break and enter and theft.

The accused appeared in London court Wednesday, and is expected to re-appear in court Friday in relation to the charges.
