Investigation into numerous calls to police leads to charges in Middlesex County

One person has been charged after Middlesex OPP began an investigation following numerous calls to police.

Just after 7 p.m. Feb. 9, police were dispatched to Cook Road in Middlesex Centre. They say an individual had placed a number of calls to police in a short period of time.

When police arrived, they say a person with an aggressive dog became assaultive toward police.

A 42 year old from Middlesex Centre has been charged with assault a peace officer with a weapon, resist peace officer, and harassing communications.

The accused was held for bail.
