Two Chesham Avenue accused appear in court for bail hearings

The four people charged in the Chesham Place weapons investigation continue to make court appearances while they all remain in custody at the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre in London.

On Friday, Fei Han, 25, appeared via Zoom and told the court through a Mandarin interpreter that he is still trying to retain a lawyer to represent him. His matter was put over until Wednesday.

Meanwhile the other three who are also charged with a rash of weapons related offences will also make court appearances in court next week.

For Zekun Wang, 26, a date will be set on Monday for a decision on whether or not be will receive bail after his lengthy hearing was held on Thursday.

Jerry Tong, 27, and Feiyang (Astrid) Ji, 21, are set to appear in court on Tuesday for their next appearance.

All four were arrested late last month after London Police searched a home along Chesham Place in north London.

The suspects face the following charges

Jerry Tong, 27, of Ottawa, is charged with the following:

• Carry concealed weapon
• Careless use of a firearm
• Possess loaded regulated firearm
• Resist arrest
• Break and enter with intent
• Occupy a motor vehicle with a firearm
• Unlawful possession of explosives
• Possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
• Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition
• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
• Knowingly manufacturing or transferring a firearm, device, or ammunition

Zekun Wang, 26, of London, is charged with the following:

• Break and enter with intent
• Occupy a motor vehicle with a firearm
• Unlawful possession of explosives
• Possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
• Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition
• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
• Knowingly manufacturing or transferring a firearm, device, or ammunition

Fei (Frank) Han, 25, of London, is charged with the following:

• Unlawful possession of explosives
• Possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
• Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition
• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
• Knowingly manufacturing or transferring a firearm, device, or ammunition
• Weapons trafficking

Feiyang (Astrid) Ji, 21, of London, is charged with the following:

• Unlawful possession of explosives
• Possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
• Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition
• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
• Knowingly manufacturing or transferring a firearm, device, or ammunition
