$2,000 in stolen tools returned to owner, man caught rummaging through parked cars

Early Saturday morning, Sarnia police were called to the area of East Street near Lincoln Park for reports of a man rummaging through parked vehicles.

Police searched the area, and arrested a nearby man matching a description provided to police.

The man was in possession of tools marked with another person’s name. The owner lived nearby and nearly $2,000 in stolen goods were returned to him.

A 43-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and two counts of trespass by night.
