Crowbar pulled out during alleged road rage incident in Guelph parking lot

A Guelph man has been charged with assault with a weapon after police said they were called to an alleged road rage incident at a parking lot.

Guelph Police Service officers responded to the parking lot on Wellington Street West just after 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators said a man who was a passenger in a vehicle became irate after another driver honked their horn. Police said the man approached the other vehicle and kicked it, leaving a large dent.

When the driver of the now dented vehicle got out to confront the man, police said the man got a crowbar and held it over his head in a threatening way.

A 40-year-old man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and assault with a weapon.
