Cash stolen from Guelph business two days in a row

An investigation is underway in Guelph after a business owner said money was taken from his downtown store two days in a row.

The owner called police on Sunday around 5 a.m. and said he could see someone on video inside his business near Gordon Street and Wellington Street. When officers arrived, the suspect was already gone and a small amount of cash had been taken.

Around the same time on Monday, the owner called back to report a second break-in. The suspect had once again taken some money, but they left a tool behind.

The suspect is described as a 5’10” white male with a medium or stocky build. He was wearing a black or dark blue winter jacket with the hood up, a royal blue hoodie underneath, black track pants with zippers on the thighs, black gloves, sunglasses and a black face covering.
