Traffic slowdowns due to water main repair in Cambridge

Two lanes of traffic were closed in Cambridge as crews worked on an emergency water main repair Thursday morning.

According to a social media post from the city at 9:16 a.m., traffic was reduced to a single lane in both directions on Coronation Boulevard between Oliver Avenue and Hespeler Road.

The city told CTV News in an email that the break was likely due to aging infrastructure, with the weather also being a possible contributor.

There were minor impacts to services of nearby residents, according to the city.

Crews had the water back on by around 1 p.m., with lanes reopened by around 3 p.m.
