Police investigate ‘targeted’ shooting at Kitchener home

A home on Beaumont Crescent in Kitchener was hit with gunfire during the early morning hours. CTV’s Jeff Pickel reports.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after shots were fired at a home in Kitchener early Monday morning.

Police said officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Sims Estate Drive and Fairway Road North at approximately 2:50 a.m.

Investigators discovered several bullet holes in the garage of a residence on Beaumont Crescent.

No injuries were reported.

Police said a dark-coloured SUV was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed following the incident.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Police said there will be an increased presence in the area throughout the day as officers continue their investigation.
