More than $3K in losses after Paris, Ont. business broken into using stolen Hamilton pickup: OPP

More than $3,000 worth of goods was taken from a business in Paris, Ont. after a break in early Saturday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the business on Grand River Street North around 3:53 a.m. after the business owner received an alarm notification.

Investigators said the building had significant damage, including broken glass and bent security bars. Multiple shelves inside the business shad been knocked over.

Police said security footage shows a red pickup truck arriving at the business around 3:36 a.m. The driver reversed into the front of the business to get inside.

Three hooded suspects jumped out of the truck and loaded stolen items into the truck before taking off less than 5 minutes later. Police said they wore sweaters, gloves and sunglasses.

OPP officers later determined the truck, with the Ontario license plate BZ93765, has been stolen from Hamilton previously.
