Man charged, woman wanted in drive-by BB gun shooting in Guelph

Police are searching for a 19-year-old woman after a drive-by BB gun shooting in Guelph Wednesday evening.

Guelph police say officers were called to a home near Hanlon Road and College Avenue West just after 6:30 p.m.

A woman told police she was on the front porch when she saw a van pull up. Police say a female passenger fired several shots at the home, though no one was injured.

Officers found the van and the BB gun at a nearby home. A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with careless use of a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, discharging an air gun with intent, and mischief under $5,000.

The female passenger, a 19-year-old Milton woman, is wanted on weapons-related charges.

The victim said she didn’t know the people involved.
