Cambridge teenager arrested after vehicle stolen while warming up: WRPS

A teenager was arrested by police after a vehicle was stolen in Cambridge while it was warming up early Tuesday morning.

Waterloo Regional Police Service officers were called to the area of Taylor Avenue and Elliott Street at around 6:10 a.m., for a reported stolen vehicle.

According to police, they found the vehicle further down the road in the area of King Street East and Waterloo Street at around 8:30 a.m. Officers arrested one of the two people inside the vehicle, while the second person ran away.

A 16-year-old teenager from Cambridge was arrested and charged with failing to comply with release and failing to comply with probation.

The investigation continues and police say they are expecting more charges.
