Jeff Soltysiak

Jeff is an award-winning News Producer and Writer with over 40 years of experience in broadcast journalism with a passion for live television. He is a lifelong resident of Waterloo Region and is a graduate of the University of Waterloo. Jeff began his career at what was then CKCO-TV as a co-op student in September 1981 and has since worked as a Writer, Assignment Editor and Producer. Jeff also served as the first Producer of Good Morning Canada, the locally-produced weekend morning show that ran on the CTV Network. He has also produced the K-W Oktoberfest opening ceremony as well as the Thanksgiving Day parade that aired on the CTV Network. Jeff is also a partial load instructor at Conestoga College, teaching in the School of Creative Industries, developing and delivering programs in Journalism, Broadcasting - Television and Independent Production, and Media Foundations. Jeff also won a cooking contest for his pulled pork sandwich. In his spare time, when the weather permits, Jeff enjoys sitting on the deck with his dogs scheming about beach vacations.
