4 dead after 2-car collision in northern Alberta

Four people are dead after a crash in northern Alberta over the weekend.

Emergency crews, including STARS Air Ambulance, were called to highway 986 and Range Road 130A near Marten Lake, Alta., shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Four people from two vehicles, including a 33-year-old woman and a 49-year-old woman from Red Earth Creek, were declared dead at the scene.

A collision analyst spent several hours on scene investigating.

Marten Lake is about 460 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
