While police say the walking paths are now accessible at Berczy Park, the mystery at the centre of the investigation is far from over.

Investigators say they are still working to identify the deceased after bones were discovered by a worker on Friday afternoon.

The remains were sent to Toronto’s Centre of Forensic Sciences, where a post-mortem examination is underway.

Investigators spent days canvassing the area for surveillance footage, using drones, hoping to piece together what happened.

Authorities have not confirmed the identity of the person or how long the remains were in the park. Police say further information will be made public after identification is confirmed and the next of kin has been completed.
