Warrant issued for man who allegedly broke into same home twice

An active search is underway for a man wanted in connection with two break-and-enters at the same home in King Township.

York Regional police have issued a warrant for 31-year-old Kenion Tapsie of no fixed address. Investigators say the suspect allegedly broke into a home in the Keele Street and Davis Drive area on Saturday, assaulting two people before fleeing the scene.

The next day, officers say Tapsie targeted the same home again, returning to commit another break and enter, but managed to leave the scene before police arrived.

At the time of the offences, Tapsie was on probation and police confirm he is wanted on an outstanding warrant in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
