Two people hospitalized, seriously injured in overnight crash

Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after an overnight crash on Airport Road in Caledon.

Provincial police were called to the area shortly after 12:40 a.m. Thursday following a crash involving two passenger vehicles between Escarpment Sideroad and Patterson Sideroad.

The force of the collision left both people seriously injured, police say.

Airport Road was closed in both directions for several hours and reopened to traffic just before 5 a.m.

Officers have not released any information about what may have led to the collision or if any charges were laid.
