Police find man in connection with April stabbing

Barrie police have found and arrested a man they were looking for in connection with a stabbing in April.

Authorities say the Toronto Police Service arrested Adam Myshak, 28, of Barrie for something unrelated who then turned him over to Barrie police on Thursday.

The incident happened on April 11 just after midnight around Anne Street North and Donald Street. Police say they were called to the area for reports of a man who had been stabbed. The man, who was taken to the hospital and airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, is currently in the hospital in critical condition.

Myshak has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
