Grocery store theft investigation uncovers drugs and break-in tools: OPP

Two individuals face charges in connection with a theft investigation in Orangeville.

Provincial police say officers responded to a call about a theft early Friday evening at a grocery store on Broadway and arrived to learn the suspects had fled the scene.

Police patrolled the area and say the suspects were located at a nearby gas station. Police say the officers spotted the stolen groceries in the suspect vehicle and also discovered a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl and break-and-enter tools.

A 34-year-old man from Amaranth and a 38-year-old woman from Orangeville face a series of charges.
