Fire claims lives of several dogs, displaces residents

Three small dogs perished in a fire that broke out early Friday afternoon in a mobile home in Essa Township.

Crews responded to reports of a fire on 25th Sideroad and arrived to find smoke coming from the mobile home.

No one was inside at the time and no injuries were reported.

Officials say the residents have been displaced.

The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious.

Damage is estimated to be around $100,000.
