Barrie housing rentals at mid-range in comparison to rest of country

It turns out Barrie, while not the most expensive nor the least expensive, it’s somewhere in the middle - in fact, a little bit better.

Out of 23 major cities in Canada, Barrie comes in at number 10 for housing rentals, according to a new report from Zumper.

The median cost currently for a one-bedroom in Barrie is $1,750, which is a drop of 0.6 per cent from April.

A two-bedroom rental unit in the city will cost around $2,000.

Vancouver, B.C. is the most expensive city to get a one-bedroom rental unit in Canada, sitting at a median price of $2,350.

In Toronto, which came in at number three on the list, costs around $2,100 for a one-bedroom.

Ottawa is number seven with a median price of $1,910.
