Several roads remain impassable in Springwater with snow-removal efforts slowed by obstacles

Road crews work day and night to dig the city out from the snow.

Road crews working to remove snow on Wednesday are dealing with high drifts, blowing snow and abandoned vehicles.

The Township of Springwater is urging residents to avoid roads being cleared by crews to prevent creating further obstructions.

The V-Plow has been working for days, pushing through the heavy, deep snow, but the Township says progress is slow due to the size of drifts and obstacles in its path.

“A number of roads remain impassable and motorists are asked to stay clear and off the roads so that crews have room to work,” the Township stated.

The Township says abandoned vehicles will be towed. Residents are encouraged to call the OPP non-emergent line at 1-888-310-1122 for details.

Several roads remain closed on Wednesday, including:

> (reopened Thursday) Flos Road 4 West: County Road 27 to 26, east of Sunnidale Concession 12

> (reopened Thursday) Flos Road 6 West: County Road 27 to Ryther Road

> (reopened Thursday) Flos Road 7 West: County Road 27 to Vigo Road

> Flos Road 8 West: County Road 27 to Vigo Road

> Flos Road 10 West: County Road 27 to Vigo Road

> Flos Road 11 West: County Road 27 to Twin Pines Drive in Wasaga

> Tiny Flos Townline: County Road 27 to west of Crossland Road
