Two arrested after drugs, replica guns seized from East Preston home: N.S. RCMP

A man and a woman have been arrested after police say officers seized drugs and replica firearms from a residence in East Preston, N.S., last month.

Police executed simultaneous search warrants in Halifax and East Preston on the morning of Jan. 24.

During the search of a residence on Upper Partridge Road, near Highway 7 in East Preston, police say they seized:

- a quantity of cocaine

- scales

- drug paraphernalia

- two replica firearms

A 21-year-old woman from Lower Sackville, N.S., and a 35-year-old man from East Preston were arrested, according to an RCMP news release.

Both the man and woman were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The woman was later released on conditions. She is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at 9:30 a.m. on March 19.

The man, identified as Roman Elroy Thompson, was held in custody and released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Feb. 28 at 9:30 a.m.
