3 N.S. men charged with uttering threats, intimidation, extortion

Three men from Nova Scotia’s Digby County are facing several charges following an incident at a home in Saulnierville last week.

Police say two men approached a man at his home and threatened violence around 7:40 p.m. Thursday.

On Sunday, the RCMP found and arrested three men.

Zacharie David Jovitt Thibault, 32, of Digby, 65-year-old Eric David Thibault of Little Brook, and 32-year-old Kevin Eric Langford of Church Point were remanded into custody.

All three are charged with:

- uttering threats (three counts)

- intimidation

- extortion without firearm

Zacharie Thibault and Eric Thibault were also charged with failure to comply with a court order.

The men were scheduled to appear in Digby provincial court on Monday.

Police say their investigation is ongoing. They are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Meteghan RCMP at 902-645-2326 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
