Suspect uses truck to force open security fence, steals scrap metal, propane cylinders: N.B. RCMP

The RCMP is asking for the public's help identifying this man following a break, enter and theft in St. Andrews, N.B. (RCMP)

The RCMP in St. Andrews, N.B., is asking the public for help identifying and locating a suspect following a break and enter early Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect used his vehicle to force open a security fence and gain access to a storage facility to steal scrap metal, five 20-pound barbecue propane cylinders, a 100-pound barbecue propane cylinder and a number of small and large blue C-25 mixed gas cylinders before leaving the scene in a truck.

Police are looking for a man who was wearing a high-visibility safety jacket, dark pants and rubber boots at the time of the theft.

The theft allegedly occurred between 4:14 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. at a business on Augustus Street.

The truck and some stolen items have been recovered, said a Friday news release from the RCMP.

Police have released surveillance footage photos of the suspect in hopes that someone will recognize him.
